Kayell Australia 32nd Galley Club Awards

Welcome to the 32nd annual Galley Club Awards for Excellence in Book and Magazine Production.
The awards will be presented at a gala evening on 27 June 2008 at a beautiful Sydney venue.
The Galley Club of Sydney has been celebrating excellence in book and magazine production for 32 years. The awards are made possible by our sponsors and judges.
The 2008 awards will provide an even greater opportunity for publishers, repro houses and printers to showcase their work and honour their peers.
What can be entered?
Books, periodicals and non-standard items published between 1 January 2007 and 31 December 2007 where the major creative content is of Australian origin, are eligible for consideration.
How to enter
Nominations can be submitted by filling out the form enclosed or via our website www.galleyclubsydney.org.au/members/ and follow the instructions to log your nominations. This system allows you to add new nominations and see all your entries under their correct categories.
Entry fees
Members: $15 per entry + $15 admin fee
Non-members: $20 per entry + $20 admin fee
Cheques made payable to Galley Club of Sydney.

Package checklist
After completing your nomination, please send us:
- a printout of your nominations page from the website
- a mint copy of your entry
- a JPEG/PDF of cover on CD
- a cheque with your entry fees

Return of entries
Only limited edition books will be returned to entrant upon request. All other entries will be donated to a suitable charity after the awards night.
Judging criteria
Entries are judged on the function and quality of their design, production, pre-press, printing and binding in accordance with established industry guidelines. Awards are presented for each winning publication. Only publications in mint condition can be entered. The judges will not be required to commend books for any category in which, in their opinion, the entries do not meet the required standards. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
